The yellow rice is one of the most unique and delicious things I’ve ever cooked. It is steamed with fresh knots of lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves and daum padum leaves. The flavor is so aromatic and subtle, it’s totally captivating.
This dish is a typical grilled meat recipe for Indonesia cooking, whereas Chicken or even fish are usually used. So I was excited to see this recipe version for Tempeh, definitely a keeper.

This is one of my absolute favorites in term of Indonesian salad. Unlike the better known Gado-gado that is peanut based and hence could be a tad heavy, this one uses fresh coconut meat and plenty of spices. The result is light balanced dressing that allows you to taste the spices.
